Overview

Oregon Ballet Theatre (OBT) is a classically-based professional ballet company, established in 1989, in Portland, Oregon. The company performs an annual season of programs at the Keller Auditorium and Newmark Theatre while participating in many community events as well as regional and national touring.

OBT has grown from being a respected regional company to one of national significance, as evidenced by the invitation to perform at the Kennedy Center in 2008, as part of the “Ballet Across America” series in 2013 and Wolf Trap in 2014. The recent additions of Artistic Director, Kevin Irving, and Executive Director, Dennis Buehler, position OBT for significant growth opportunities in the years to come.

In addition to the performing company, The School of Oregon Ballet Theatre is recognized as one of the premiere ballet schools in the country. Customer Service Representative
Part-time

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is a front-line ambassador
for Oregon Ballet Theatre (OBT) and responsible for ensuring that all visitors receive the highest level of customer service upon visiting our studio and offices or while engaged as a
representative for OBT. The CSR reports to the Audience Services Manager and is primarily
tasked with processing the purchase of subscriptions and/or single tickets. External contacts are primarily with subscribers and ticket customers. Primary internal contacts are with the ticket office staff and occasionally with staff members of other departments. Contacts are made by telephone, via email, and in person. The CSR regularly handles sensitive information regarding ticket sales and customer information.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
We seek candidates who have a minimum one year customer service experience in a sales role and a proven ability to deal with ticketing problems, customer complaints, or other conflicts.  While not required, successful candidates will have specific experience within dance and the arts.  A full job description can be obtained on the OBT website.

Ballet Accompanist

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
Oregon Ballet Theatre seeks an experienced accompanist with excellent piano and improvisation skills who, under the direct supervision of the class instructor, can provide musical accompaniment of various styles for dance classes and other dance related performing activities.
The position is Part-Time and Non-Exempt.
