The OBT School is recognized as one of the premiere ballet schools in the country. We seek people who have lived, volunteer and/or have professional experience partnering, communicating, and engaging with communities of color, including Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, and other communities.
RESPONSIBLITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
OBT is seeking professional part-time ballet teachers who specialize in early years classes (ages 3-7) and foundational ballet training levels (ages 8-12), as well as contemporary dance teachers. Areas of strength should include excellent classroom management and motivation, positive engagement with students, and extensive knowledge and education in the art of teaching ballet. Candidates will have significant teaching experience, good references, and be willing to teach sample classes as part of the interview process.
There may be available part-time teaching hours within our summer programs, and definitely a need for extra staff in the fall.
