Each season OBT hosts a variety of events to acknowledge the impact of generous contributors, celebrate world-class productions and special milestones, collaborate with peer organizations and community partners, and/or raise the necessary resources to fuel OBT’s wide-range of activities.

Fundraising Gala: The Bolshoi Ball

Saturday Evening, February 4, 2017
Portland Art Museum

The 160-year-old Bolshoi Theater, setting for the original production of the beloved Tchaikovsky ballet Swan Lake, reopened in 2011 after a major renovation. The restoration, a balance between contemporary upgrades and returning the theatre to its original, fantastical décor, is said to give one the feeling of sitting inside a Fabergé Imperial Egg. In effect, this iconic home to the renowned Bolshoi Ballet, is old, yet delightfully new again. More Details
