Resident Assistant

 

POSITION

Resident Assistants will work with the Lead Resident Assistant to create an engaging and welcoming environment while ensuring the safety and well being of students enrolled in Oregon Ballet Theater School’s six-week Summer Intensive program. Students will be housed by a local university and shuttled to OBT studios for training. In this role, accepted applicants will have strong leadership skills in order to successfully manage activities and essential duties related to student welfare. Respect for students’ unique and individual needs while away from home is crucial to creating a positive and memorable experience. This position is available from June 22, 2024 through August 3, 2024.


QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in student housing programs and camps is preferred. Experience with pre-professional ballet training and summer intensive programs is helpful but not required. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and should have a flexible, positive, and engaging attitude. Current CPR and first aid certification is preferred. Candidates will be subject to a criminal background check and possibly a motor vehicle check.


COMPENSATION

$662.40 per week + room and board at Portland State University . Public transportation passes, admission to weekend excursions, and ballet classes are also included as schedule permits.
