Lead Resident Assistant
POSITION
The Lead Resident Assistant will work to create an engaging and welcoming environment while ensuring the safety and well being of students enrolled in Oregon Ballet Theater School’s six-week Summer Intensive program. Students will be housed by a local university and shuttled to OBT studios for training. In this role, the accepted applicant will manage supervision, communication, activities, and other essential duties related to student welfare. Respect for students’ unique and individual needs while away from home is crucial to creating a positive and memorable experience. This position is available from June 22, 2024 through August 3, 2024.
QUALIFICATIONS
We seek candidates with experience in student housing programs and camps. Experience with pre-professional ballet training and summer intensive programs is helpful but not required. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and should have a flexible, positive attitude, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to handle a wide range of logistical duties. Current CPR and first aid certification is preferred and proof of auto insurance and a copy of a current driver’s license is required. Candidates will be subject to a criminal background and motor vehicle check.
COMPENSATION
$828 per week + room and board at Portland State University . Public transportation passes, admission to weekend excursions, and ballet classes are also included as schedule permits.
