Abigail Concannon | Apprentice

Abigail Concannon was born in East Islip, New York, and began her dance training at the age of two. By the age of three, Abby joined Lori’s School of Dance in East Islip, New York, and danced competitively until the age of thirteen, winning the 2013 National Junior Championship first-place award for Rising-star Solos. At thirteen, Abby joined the Eglevsky Ballet in Bethpage, New York, to focus full-time on ballet training. From there, she attended Ballet Academy East in New York City and the School of American Ballet in New York City for the summer program, where she was accepted for its fall term in 2015. Abby attended the Professional Performing Arts School for academics while living at the School of American Ballet in New York City. She has trained over the last several summers with the Boston Ballet, Miami City Ballet, and Oregon Ballet Theatre. She has performed in La Source and Western Symphony by George Balanchine in the School of American Ballet’s workshop performances. She was awarded the Trudy Stamm Scholarship in 2017 and the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation Scholarship in 2018. In 2019, she graduated from the School of American Ballet and joined Oregon Ballet Theatre’s Second Company. Abby has performed with the company in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® and Christopher Stowell’s The Sleeping Beauty.
