Thomas Boyd

Mr. Boyd performed with Chicago Ballet, Chicago Contemporary Dance Theater and Houston Ballet before being recruited as head of production for HB, where he worked with noted designers like Peter Farmer, Desmond Heeley, David Walker and Walter Nobbe.  In 2013, Mr. Boyd assumed the role of Technical Director of Queensland Ballet, re-uniting with long-time friend and new Artistic Director, Li Cunxin. Mr. Boyd’s designs have been produced for Houston Ballet, Colorado Ballet, National Ballet of Estonia, Ballet de Santiago, National Ballet of China, and Queensland Ballet; including Don Quixote (1995), Dracula (1997), Cleopatra (2000), The Fountain of Tears (2003), The Nutcracker (2010, 2013, 2021), Cinderella (2013, 2018), Peter Pan (2002, 2015), Steppenwolf (2002), The Host (2004), The Four Seasons (2007), The Core (2008), and In The Best Moments (2016).
