Annual Gala: The Wonderland Ball
Lose yourself in a world of whimsy and adventure at The Wonderland Ball, OBT’s Annual Gala at Portland Art Museum! This year we celebrate the triumphant return of Septime Webre’s ALICE (in wonderland) and pay a meaningful tribute to two of our most esteemed community leaders. Whether you stop by fashionably late for the after-party, or join us for the whole mad affair, it’s a fantastic way to support the arts.

Your Attendance Matters
Building Belonging Through Ballet
While every OBT event creates lasting memories for the guests who attend, it also paves the way for the future of art in Oregon. With support from people like you, we’re making an impact beyond the stage, inspiring something powerful in performers and patrons alike.
To many, ballet is a luxury, but you’re helping Oregon Ballet Theatre make it a shared cultural experience for everyone. The funds we raise at our events don’t just help us support our dancers and teachers, but also our community. From keeping our ticket prices accessible to supporting our teachers who travel to share the power of dance in schools, every ounce of support you give makes a difference.
Our Mission
More than an award-winning dance school with renowned programs, Oregon Ballet Theatre is a pillar of the Oregon community. We bring the magic of movement to people of all ages, uniting neighbors through shared experiences.
Beyond performances, we support children and adults through inclusive programs that inspire creativity and teach people to use their bodies in new ways. From giving children creative outlets in school to refining aspiring professionals’ techniques, we support everyone, meeting them wherever they are.
By removing physical and cultural barriers, OBT welcomes everyone to enjoy the world of ballet. We build bridges between people, neighborhoods, and generations, to bring dance with more meaning to more people.
The Ripple Effect of Art
Art reflects who we are and who we want to become, and a vibrant arts scene is the heartbeat of a strong community. A performance isn’t just something to enjoy—it cultivates empathy, sparks dialogue, and celebrates shared humanity.
Ballet offers something rare, uniting people from all walks of life to speak the same language. When you support OBT, you invest in Oregon’s future. You’re helping us help young artists grow into leaders and make every performance a powerful act of inclusion and inspiration.
