Sophia Guasco

Sophia is from Vancouver, Washington and began her training at DanceWorks Performing Arts and Vancouver City Ballet. She has attended multiple summer programs with OBT as well as San Francisco Ballet. Sophia began training with OBT school in 2022. She joined OBT2 for the 23/24 and 24/25 seasons and was brought on to the main company in the role of Apprentice for the 25/26 season.

Some of Sophia’s favorite roles with OBT have been Hot Chocolate in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, and Dew Fairy in Loughlan Prior’s Hansel and Gretel. In her time with OBT2, the roles of Aurora in Ben Stevenson’s The Sleeping Beauty act 3 grand pas, and Raymonda were standouts for her. Other highlights have been exploring contemporary movement while working with various OBT dancers as choreographers in OBT by Design.
