Samantha Cruz is a dancer, dancer teacher and choreographer born and raised in rainy Portland, Oregon. Dancing her whole life, Samantha has studied several styles including Ballet, Luigi Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Step, African and Contemporary. She began her teacher training at 11, studying under and assisting award-winning ballerina and ballet teacher Renée Meiffren. She later completed the Open Space teacher training program.
Samantha has taught at public schools in David Douglas school district and private dance studios. She is very passionate about teaching and cultivating student’s confidence and creativity. She finds it necessary to create a space for students to learn and be themselves while doing so. Samantha is so grateful to have the opportunity to work with such amazing kids and share her love for movement and music.
