Lauren Flower is a dynamic choreographer, dancer, and teacher known for her innovative and impactful work. Born in Fresno, California and raised in Tucson, Arizona, she trained at The School of Ballet Tucson and Tucson Regional Ballet before joining Houston Ballet II. Her professional career continued with Ballet Arizona, Boston Ballet, and Golden State Ballet in San Diego, where she performed as a Soloist and served as Resident Choreographer with The Rosin Box Project.
In 2023, Flower joined Oregon Ballet Theatre as a Company Artist, performing across both classical and contemporary repertoires. She has appeared in works by celebrated choreographers such as Dani Rowe, Ben Stevenson, Yin Yue, Trey McIntyre, and Andi Schermoly, dancing soloist and principal roles throughout the company’s diverse programming.
A highly sought-after choreographer, Flower has contributed to two seasons of OBT’s OBT By Design, creating original works for OBT2, the pre-professional program of Oregon Ballet Theatre. Her choreography has since entered the main company repertoire, and she is currently commissioned to create a new work for OBT’s 25/26 OBT Collection.
Flower’s dual perspective, as both a dancer and a choreographer, shapes a creative process rooted in curiosity, exploration, and collaborative discovery. She encourages professionals and students alike to push the boundaries of their artistry and to cultivate their individual voices. Flower joined the OBT School faculty in 2024.
