Kangmi Kim is from Seoul, South Korea. She received her training from Sunhwa Arts High School. Kangmi moved to New York in 2016 and trained on a full scholarship at the American Ballet Theatre Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School.
In 2016 she was a semifinalist in the Prix de Lausanne. Kangmi joined OBT2 in 2017, became an OBT apprentice in 2019 and a Company Artist in the 2021-22 season.
