Brett Mills, a native of Chicago, trained at the Ruth Page School and the Chicago City Ballet School. She also attended summer programs at the Joffrey School, Washington School of Ballet and studied with Suzanne Farrell.
Brett danced with BalletMet and Ballet Iowa, under Bournonville specialist Kennet Oberly, before joining Eugene Ballet. During her eleven years with Eugene Ballet, Brett danced many principal roles including Giselle, Juliet, and Aurora, as well as originating roles in works by artistic director, Toni Pimble.
Brett has taught for a number of studios in the Chicago area including the Ruth Page School and Dance Academy of Libertyville. In the Portland area she has been on the faculty of Polaris Dance Theatre, Sultanov Russian Ballet Academy, Portland Youth Ballet, Allegro Dance Studio and Center for Movement Arts. In addition to OBT School, she currently teaches at The Portland Ballet And Bodyvox Dance Center.
Additionally, Brett is certified as a Stott Pilates Instructor in matwork.
