Oregon Ballet Theatre’s dance studios are open for individuals and organizations to host their creative gatherings, from dance auditions to rehearsals. We prioritize maintaining the integrity of our space, ensuring a professional, inspiring environment for every visitor to create and perform.
How Studio Rentals Work
Studio Availability & Pricing
Oregon Ballet Theatre offers three spaces for dance studio rental in Portland—each priced at $80 per hour. We offer special rates for OBT students and nonprofit organizations, allowing professional and recreational artists alike to enjoy our space.
Booking Requirements
Our studios are open for the dance community, including individuals, schools, companies, and other organizations. We welcome all dance-related uses, as well as events such as baby showers and birthdays, so long as the studio floor remains in good condition for our dancers.
Additional Services
In addition to renting our studio spaces, we offer optional amenities to enhance your experience. You may add kitchen access for an additional $25 per hour, ideal for hosting events or providing refreshments, and an on-site receptionist for $30 per hour.
Fine-Tuned Details
To further elevate your experience, OBT also offers coffee service upon request and connects you with professional pianists available for auditions, rehearsals, and classes.

Acceptable Events
We welcome individuals and organizations to rent our studio spaces for a range of dance-related events, such as rehearsals, auditions, and classes. While our studios are also available to book for low-impact celebrations, including weddings and baby showers, we only accept events that keep our specialized flooring in excellent condition for our dancers. If you’re unsure whether your event qualifies, don’t hesitate to reach out.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
Nonprofit Discounts
As part of our commitment to fostering creativity in our community, we offer discounted rates to nonprofit organizations that reflect the spirit of OBT. To qualify for our special rental rates, you must provide current documentation confirming your organization’s status. We value mission-driven work, so we’re happy to open our space for youth programs, outreach classes, and other efforts that inspire our neighbors.

To request a dance studio rental in Portland, please contact us with your preferred date and studio space, as well as any additional services you would like to reserve. A member of the Oregon Ballet Theatre will follow up with you promptly to confirm the details, answer any questions, and complete the booking process.
