Boutique Associate (Pop-Up)

Position

The Boutique Associate supports the daily operation of Oregon Ballet Theatre’s boutique by providing welcoming, knowledgeable customer service and assisting with merchandise sales, inventory, and store presentation. This role processes transactions, maintains an organized and visually appealing retail space, assists patrons with product selection, and helps ensure merchandise is accurately stocked and displayed.

The Boutique Associate serves as a positive ambassador for OBT, creating an engaging retail experience for patrons, families, students, and visitors while supporting boutique sales and organizational goals.

Job Duties/Competencies

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• • Assists the boutique manager in the creation of appealing displays for the OBT Boutique before performance run including unpacking and organizing stock.
  • Trains volunteers in the use of Square and procedures of selling to our patrons before each performance.
  • Assists volunteers with any questions or concerns and/or refers them to the boutique manager.
  • Monitors boutique stock to ensure quantities are abundant and displays are tidy.
  • Keeps track of electronic equipment (iPads and Square Readers) while the show is running.
  • Assists in counting and packing up inventory on the final day of theater occupation
  • Assist patrons with ticket purchase guidance via QR Code

Education & Experience

• One year of customer-faced experience.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure
• Adaptability of service based on customer needs.
• Experience in sales a plus .

OBT conducts background checks after a conditional offer of employment is made. A background check finding does not automatically preclude employment. OBT reviews the results of each background check individually and assesses them on a case-by-case basis for context and relevance to a job.

Working Conditions
This role is support with cash handling and is customer service facing. 

Work Schedule
November 12, 2026 – December 24, 2026
Wednesday – Sunday, 10am-6pm
This is a part-time, seasonal position.

Compensation
This is an hourly position starting at Oregon Minimum Wage.
