Bringing the Stage to Students
Oregon Ballet Theatre proudly offers ballet shows for schools in Portland through our Student Performance Series. Registration opens in August, and seats are only $6 per student, with a $3 service fee per order.
Teachers receive study guides a week before the performance, along with seating and parking details, to ensure a smooth, engaging experience for everyone. Schools must finalize their reservations 2 weeks ahead of time, and hold on to their virtual confirmation—no paper tickets required.

OBT offers hour-long performances for schools, including age-appropriate mainstage productions throughout the season, such as The Nutcracker. We kindly ask that you arrange plans to arrive at the theatre early, giving students time to find their seats and settle in before the curtains open.
We invite students to our theatres to enjoy our Student Performance Series, immersing them in the world of ballet in a professional venue. As part of our commitment to making the arts accessible, OBT also offers field trips that give students a behind-the-scenes look at the world of professional dance—inviting them to watch rehearsals, explore our studios, and learn what goes into our world-class performances.
Yes. We ask that teachers and chaperones attend with students to ensure a safe, engaging experience for everyone. We recommend following your school’s recommended adult-to-student ratio to make sure every student has the support they need to enjoy the performance comfortably and respectfully.
