Summer Youth Ballet Programs & Camps
Our Pre-Ballet sessions and Creative Movement sessions are for students between the ages of 3 to 5 years old. The summer term runs for 6 weeks , meeting once a week for 45 minutes, and the themed camps for one-week each, for two-hours each day. Our ballet classes for kids in Portland build a strong foundation in dance for their future growth and development. Our summer term gives students an opportunity to continue their ballet training with OBT’s professional faculty. Young dancers experience the joys of ballet during a concentrated time frame to help them prepare for their lifelong ballet journey.
Summer Creative Pre-Ballet and themed camps are open to students ages 3 to 5. Students must of age prior to beginning classes.

Our summer Creative Pre-Ballet term consists of one class per week for 6 weeks. For a more exciting and fun-packed summer of dancing sign up for two or all three days for 6 weeks. Our Creative Pre-Ballet classes for ages 3-5 introduce children to the joy of dance and music. Through fun and engaging lessons, they’ll build confidence, creativity, and coordination. With guidance from our skilled instructors, children will learn ballet basics, classroom etiquette, and expressive pantomime. Our classes also foster social skills, musicality, and physical abilities like focus, balance, and flexibility. Join us and watch your child’s passion for ballet grow!

Pre-Ballet joy and expressiveness paired with creative composition to build self-confidence and artistic expression. We will explore magical story ballets during our time together. The two-hour workshop will begin with an hour of Pre-Ballet instruction and exploration. Preceding this class, they will learn choreography inspired by famous classical ballet stories, including The Sleeping Beauty, Coppélia, Swan Lake, Snow White, Firebird, and Cinderella. The last 30 minutes of the last day of camp will be open to observation.
