Every summer for one week, we move the OBT studios out of doors and into an informal, tented rehearsal space in Portland’s South Park Blocks. Bring your lunch and experience firsthand the daily regimen of the dancers as they prepare for the season-opening performances of Swan Lake.
Once again, OBT Exposed will also incorporate our annual Choreographers Institute. Throughout the week, guest choreographer David Justin will create work on OBT’s apprentices and professional division students, culminating with an informal showing and discussion with the artists on Saturday afternoon. Visitors of all ages are welcome, and it’s absolutely FREE.
Don't forget to join us for this year's movie under the tent, Friday at 7pm. Past movies include Ballet Russes and The Turning Point.
