Teaching in Schools

Through the art of dance, OBT Outreach Teaching Artists empower children and young adults to use their bodies to solve problems and clearly and expressively communicate their ideas. By learning, practicing, and manipulating basic dance vocabulary, students build coordination, self-confidence and athleticism, as well as strength, flexibility, rhythm and spatial awareness.

Our Teaching Artists are highly experienced educators and working artists who are adept at teaching children of all ages, cultural backgrounds, and physical and emotional abilities. Our Teaching Artists help instill confidence, trust, and self-esteem in students as they experience the joy of dance. We welcome the opportunity to work with your students on either a short-term or long-term basis. Get to know OBT’s Instructors
