Grab your castanets and put on your dancing shoes – it’s time for OBT’s 2012 gala, and this year, it’s your turn on the dance floor! ¡Viva la Danza! will bring together members of the community to support the mission and programs of Oregon Ballet Theatre, from dazzling onstage performances to outreach in underserved communities.  The event will feature sumptuous Latin cuisine, delicious wines and performances from Portland’s finest Latin dancers paired up with members of OBT’s company for a maravilloso evening of entertainment and celebration.  We’re transforming Portland’s Left Bank Annex into an elegant and colorful setting that evokes the passionate, spirited heart of Latin culture, from Barcelona to Rio de Janeiro.  And because we believe dance is for everyone, we’re offering complimentary Latin dance lessons before the event so you’ll be ready to hit the floor with your amante or your favorite OBT dancer!
