Andrew Wingert was born in Dayton, Ohio. He began his ballet training there in Dayton under former Dayton Ballet principal, Barbara Pontecorvo. He continued training at the Cincinnati Ballet Academy and Milwaukee Ballet’s Second Company before he joined the Corps de ballet of the Suzanne Farrell Ballet in 2015. As a freelance dancer, he has also worked extensively with Ballet Chicago, as well as appearing as a guest artist with the Sacramento Ballet and other schools and companies.
